This book is written by an Australian author, my teacher Ms O'Shannassy gave it to me to read.
It's about a young boy named Abel, who lives with his mum in a coastal town. Each day they go out on a boat to dive to get food to eat. One day Abel sees a massive fish swim past, he tells his mum.
She sees it and tells him its a blueback fish, a rare fish.
The book is about Abel's life growing up, and how he deals with life. It is a sad story that will help you appreciate life. This book is great if you love the water and animals.
