I got this book from my friend (Caelam) for my birthday. He saw it and another book and picked this book because he said it looked funnier.
All Charlie wants is a paper round, so he goes to his local newsagent and when he asks for a job the owner runs outside. The next day he goes back to the newsagent and sees it is closed and a sign says NO MORE PAPER ROUNDS. He finds it strange, so he and his friend go walking around the streets and see Grannies doing paper rounds. Charlie asks them what are they doing, and then one of them shoots Charlie in his eyes with a kind of chilli sauce. After that a strange man comes and tells him that Grannies took over paper rounds a few years ago. Both of them follow the Grannies to an alley way and they disappear. Charlie and his friend decide to make a war on the Grannies to get a paper round back. This book has great funny words and this makes you want to keep reading.
My Star Rating: *****
