Week 41: Pie Rats The Forgotten Map

My friend Maka lent me this book. We were lucky enough to have Cameron come to our school during book week and talk about his books.

This book is about a rat named Whisker, who lost his family in a cyclone. The Pie Rats rescued him, at first they don't like him, but later they start to like him. Whisker, Hook Hand Horace and Ruby Rat meet enemies like the Cat Fish, who shoots flaming fur balls. Whisker and his friends go on adventures to islands, on one of the islands they meet the very first captain of the Pie Rats. He gives them a treasure map, called the Forgotten Map, which everyone wants. On the map an X marks the spot for the treasure but that part of the map is cut out. There are clues to help them find the missing piece and along the journey they encounter a broken down ship with two kids and a teacher on it. The Pie Rats let them join the adventure.

This book is full of suspense, adventures and lots of descriptive words.
